Reflective Blog #3

Ending out my last week with this class I have learned a lot and grown as an individual but also in regards to my professional life. I have learned how important effective leadership, trust and how to properly complete projects. In the second half we focused more on dealing with projects within, for example making project adjustments, identifying risks and managing them, as well as analyzing results. I have learned new ways to approach projects within work and how to manage them better. I work on a few admin projects a week and have gained the knowledge of how to better adjust when problems may arise. I am looking forward to being able to use the information gained through learning about leadership, trust and projects in my future careers as well.  After reviewing my first journal article I think that my goal of gathering more tools and the proper knowledge to deal with challenges at work along with planning projects was completed. While reflecting on how change management strategies can help non-profits better serve their beneficiaries, manage volunteers or handle funding challenges this by working on aligning ope...

After reading the course description, outcomes and assignments I think this class will give me the tools and proper knowledge to deal with managing challenges at work, planning projects as well as executing them but also allow me to grow in my job while using all the tools from this class. I think learning more in-depth regarding project planning, execution and constraints will help me as Program Assistant with the TRAC program. We sometimes look to add in different projects, ones that are brand new to bring another perspective to our program and sometimes just add in something similar to create more opportunities. I have never been big on project planning; I do not think it is a strong suit of mine neither something that I am eager to do. After thinking about it I think I felt that way because I did not have the tools to help me with this specific task. I am hoping that after this class and gaining a master’s in organizational leadership, I will be able to plan projects at work ...
